Taoist inspired clouds have pearls of wisdom raining down from the skies which fall into the mirror pools below.

Thoughts and feelings are like clouds…they come and go…but the sky does not hold onto them…be the vastness of the sky.

Blackout curtains cover the walls with a slight partition at the entrance through which the viewer enters. Two chimes sound the viewers entrance into my immersive dream scene calling them home.

They are my contemporary twist on Monet’s Waterlily paintings.

Gold gilding flakes are an expression of light dancing on the water.

The lily rises every morning emerging from murky waters and symbolise rebirth in spirituality.

“The Mysterious Female” (2025)

Dried Lotus leaf and acrylic.

The Mysterious Female is a Taoist concept. The great Dao, the void, source. Unfathomable. Yet she flows through all of us. It is Yin.

The Lotus leaf represents the Buddhist concept of impermanence. The scene depicted is the valley spirit inspired by the accompanying poem.

I combine Buddhist and Taoist concepts with this work, and historical research reveals the deep connection and influence Buddhism and Taoism had on each other.

I am Eurasian and I love fusion.
