Current work in progress, and part of my Fine Art Project 2026.

We are all made of light and dark, and this piece is the cosmic integration of duality becoming oneness, and expresses isness and source. As a further expression of duality I have added mirror text.

It is a fusion of various visual and cultural materials and iconography that I create my own fantastical being's with, drawing on a wide range of sources from Buddhism to Taoism. I also incorporate joss paper which holds spiritual and cultural significance in Buddhism, such as impermanence. As a Eurasian artist it has personal resonance.

I am also currently inspired by Gilles Deleuze's The Fold. The fold as a metaphor philosophically questioning our state of being, and entanglement. I am particularly focused on the soul chamber that rises, nothingness and oneness which are particularly relevant to my practice and experience. It is my current critical reading.
